Got a few of the best remixes i've been listening to lately for you to check out. No dubstep this time, but it's gonna have a "remix" post to itself soon, don't worry.
All pretty feel-good, upbeat stuff here, with remixes of the likes of Duck Sauce, Chemical Brothers, Swedish House Mafia and more. Enjoy.
Brilliant new video here for this track. Based around the massively popular beat 'em up videogames of the late '90s, it features a multi-round fight off between animated versions of Diplo and Lil Jon themselves. Check it out:
After the success of her first single, Katy on a Mission, and more recently, the fantastically catchy Magnetic Mantrack Perfect Stranger, on which she features, Katy B is back with a second single.
It's called Lights On, features Ms Dynamite, and below we've got a video of them performing it at this year's Notting Hill Carnival. There's a short interview with Katy in there as well.
Music video for this is out on Friday and a Skream remix yet to come, so watch out for them.
In the meantime, HERE's a link to her page on Rinse.fm with the video's to Perfect Stranger, Katy on a Mission and Louder, the B-side to her first single.
Also, almost two years old now, but definitely worth a listen, check out this Funky House track, As I by Geeneus, that she featured on.
And if you haven't seen them already, you should check out the the videos of Magnetic Man performing with live vocalists in the Radio 1 Studios at Maida Vale. Here's Katy B in the Perfect Stranger one:
It's been almost two weeks now since FluxPavilion's EP Lines in Wax was released on Circus Records and if you haven't already i suggest u you get it immediately (only £2 on play.com). Each track is a must have for any true fan of dubstep in 2010, but the last track Haunt You stands out as something a bit more special. With its euphoric yet eerie vocals and the way it falls into, and rises out of, a slow melancholic piano mid section, it's a bit different to most of Flux's work to date, but amazing nonetheless.
Since then, he has dropped his new Jamiroquai remix in his mix for Mistajam last weekend;
...And yesterday he was asking whether people wanted to see his new track Bass Cannon get a release. It's a unquestionable yes from me, but here he is spinning it in Tel Aviv, Israel last week, so you can make your own mind up. LET THE BASS CANNON KICK IT!
EDIT:If you want a free DOWNLOAD of a Flux set opening with BASS CANNON, then check THIS out.
Also from the Circus camp, i've been listening to a lot of Funtcase recently. Check out his banging dubstep remix of Marco del Horno vs Swerve track Ho! Riddim. Second drop is even slightly better than the first...
Major Lazer's latest EP Lazers never die is out now and has five amazing collaborations from Thom Yorke, M.I.A, Mr.Vegas, Buraka Som Sistema and the Dubbed out Good Enuff (Cash Flow Remix) with Collie Buddz:
And although the original Let You Go felt like it was lacking something, the Brookes Brothers remix doesn't. Definitely worth getting if you haven't heard it yet.
